Car sales in Sydney Car sales, or car shows, are an integral part of the Australian car culture and have been for centuries, says Melbourne car sales manager and former Adelaide car salesman Ben Davenport.
He says Sydney has a rich car culture that’s been around since the 1600s and that has kept the market open and thriving.
The main draw for Sydney car sales are the big-ticket cars and the classic car that’s used by generations of locals.
“The main draw is that we have a rich history of car sales and car ownership and the cars that have been sold are the same ones that people drive around Sydney today,” Mr Davenpond says.
“It’s just a really good time of year to drive around the city and get some great cars.”
There are three main reasons why Sydney car buyers go to car shows: to see a great car or to buy an expensive car, he says.
If the cars are the right fit for the buyer then they are sold to a person who will drive them.
“If you’re a young person looking for a great old car or a young buyer who’s just getting started in their car buying career then you’re going to see many people driving around Sydney with a few different cars and that’s what the car shows are all about,” he says
