‘Sophisticated’ car sales in the UK have increased by more than 20% since the Brexit vote
A car dealership in south Wales has been selling sophisticated vehicles at an affordable price to the British public.
The UK car market has seen a surge in sales over the last year with a number of new models hitting the market.
The dealership, which is owned by the National Car Club, is located in the seaside town of Cardiff.
It has already attracted some media attention for selling a BMW X1 to an American visitor.
The car, which was purchased at £3,600, is the first BMW X5 ever sold in the US and is reportedly the most expensive vehicle ever sold.
“We’ve seen an incredible increase in the number of people coming in to our shop,” manager David Brown said.
“People are getting really interested in buying their first BMW.
We’ve been getting hundreds of enquiries.”
The shop has also sold a Lamborghini Gallardo LP670-4 and a Ferrari 458 Italia to a British visitor who is now planning a visit to Wales.
The Gallardo has sold for £13,000 and the 458 Italie for £16,000.
“It’s been a really good year,” Mr Brown said of the sales.
“Our sales have gone up 20 per cent in the last 12 months.”
It’s something that has been on our mind for quite some time.
