How to calculate your carbon tax bill from car sales
The number of cars sold in the U.S. is projected to reach an all-time high of nearly 19 million units in 2019, according to a new report by the Carbon Tax Calculator.
That is nearly the number of automobiles sold last year and the third-highest annual number in the past five years.
The report is based on data collected by the U,S.
Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS) from the Automobile Club of America.
The BLS said last week that it expects that the number will rise to 24.5 million units by 2020.
The latest report by Carbon Tax Tracker also projects that sales of new cars and trucks will exceed 3 million units for the first time in 2019.
Sales of new vehicles will account for just 0.1 percent of the total vehicle market, the report said.
“The global automobile market is expected to reach nearly $18 trillion in 2019 and to grow to $23 trillion by 2025, according the report,” said Jason Miller, senior vice president of carbon pricing at Carbon Taxpayer Protection Alliance.
“Car sales are driving the global economy and jobs, so it’s important that the U.”s tax system is fair, efficient and transparent.
“The report said that, of the 20 largest U.s. car-related companies, the Ford Motor Co., General Motors Co., Toyota Motor Corp., Volkswagen AG and BMW AG were among the most profitable in the country.
The companies had sales of more than $1.2 trillion last year.
The number one car seller in the United States, Ford Motor, had sales revenue of $1 billion in 2019 but lost $1,064 billion in the first three months of the year.
The BLS’ carbon tax calculator uses the number and value of carbon dioxide emissions to determine how much tax the company is paying.
It then calculates how much of the tax bill is attributable to the actual emissions of the cars.
Carbon tax calculatorThe Bls numbers are based on a projection of emissions and carbon dioxide pollution, which were both estimated to rise from the current levels in 2020.
Carbon dioxide pollution is emitted by the combustion of fossil fuels such as gasoline and diesel.
The carbon dioxide emitted from cars and light trucks contributes roughly 10 percent of all U. and Canadian greenhouse gas emissions, the BLS report said, adding that the amount of carbon pollution is a critical indicator of economic growth and job creation.
In addition to the tax numbers, the Carbon Taxes Calculator also projects how much the tax would be needed to offset the cost of environmental remediation, road repair and transportation costs.
The estimates are based off estimates from the United Nations Environment Program, the International Monetary Fund and other global agencies.
